In the CPIM program, you have learned the basic principles of supply chain management (BSCM), the concepts of demand management, sales and operations planning and master scheduling (MPR), as well as the techniques of material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning and procurement (DSP). You have also focused on the plant floor with both, JIT\/LEAN and Quality Assurance elements,<br \/>\nthrough executing and controlling operations (ECO). It is now time to go back up to the 40,000 foot approach with SMR \u2013 Strategic Management of Resources.<\/p>\n<p>The exam has 75 questions, divided approximately as follows:<\/p>\n<p>19 questions will be on Understanding <strong>(25%)<\/strong><br \/>\n34 questions will be on Developing <strong>(45%)<\/strong><br \/>\n22 questions will be on Implementing <strong>(30%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This module is affectionately referred to by APICS as the \u201ccapstone module\u201d as it ties all the key points together, or to use a construction example, \u201cputs the roof on the house.\u201d Explore the relationship of existing and emerging\u00a0processes and technologies to manufacturing\u00a0strategy and supply chain-related functions. The\u00a0course addresses three main topics: aligning\u00a0resources with the strategic plan, configuring and\u00a0integrating operating processes to support the strategic plan, and implementing change.
