If you are new to supply management, have been in the field for a number of years, or are considering this as a career, you are in an exciting field, because there is probably no other function in a company, (with exception to sales) that can have a more positive impact on the bottom line. This specification is based on an extensive cross-sector job analysis, which is periodically updated and includes the key areas of (a) manufacturing, (b) U.S. government/prime contractor, (c) state and local government, (d) institutions, (e) services, (f) retail, and (g) food.
